We found Maruti guest house in the India Lonely Planet, 10th Edition (2003). Each time we come to Maruti guest house we are very pleased to see Dr.V.N.Tripathi and his family. We are always welcomed in a familial and warm ambiance. Kashmir potatoes of Tripti are delicious and her massage are very efficient. Everything is done with humor and joy! We recommend it. Desset family from France.

We enjoyed our stay at Maruti Guesthouse very much. The rooms are basic but clean with a private bathroom. The family are warm and exceed the expectation of a guesthouse. The kitchen produces amazing food jftoyne@gmail.com 23rd of October 1990

I stayed for a few days. Room was nice, clean. I enjoyed massala tea and tried some delicious meals on the roof of the guest house where I also took some cooking lessons so I can remember the taste of India back at home. Very knowledgeable were also lessons of yoga and meditation with DR. V.N. Tripathi - the owner of the guest house. Overall it is en place with relaxed atmosphere which I can recommend.

This was a wonderful place to stay during our time in Varanasi, we felt very safe and like a part of the family. I couldn't recommend it enough. We enjoyed every part of the experience from the yoga to the beautiful handmade clothes and delicious food.

Had a lovely stay here. Got picked up from the train station which saved so much hassle. Met all of Dr. V. N. Tripathi family. Made to feel very welcome. They really looked after us after we got sick eating street food. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Feeling at peace with myself after some relaxing and gentle yoga with Dr. T himself. Bedrooms were clean. Washed our clothes here too. Thanks again. UDM

We loved staying at Maruti Guest House, we were picked up from the train station by the owner himself and brought back to the guest house which also functions as a home. After seven weeks of traveling around India, it was really nice to stay with a friendly and welcoming family. The owner, Papu when we arrived was so helpful, he drew us a map of our location (right beside Assi Ghat) and told us of things we should look out for.
