The best guesthouse on our trip. It was so nice sitting on the terrace and drinking Triptis masala tea. They took good care of us!

This is a great place. Nice and friendly atmosphere. Good food. Interesting choice of books. Yoga classes (Dr Tripathi). Very beautiful dresses (Tripti). Plus it was a huge help to have a doctor in the house when i fell sick. They helped us so much. It felt more like living with friends than staying in a hotel. Thanks.

Highly recommended!!!

This Guest House is the best choice in Varanasi ! Dr. Papu is an excellent house and you really feel like home! rooms are great (Clean, safe and quiet) the location is also the best in Varanasi, close to the main spots but away from the touts and annoying stuff. Tip: Accept the airport pickup! is the best way to get into the city without paying extra to rickshaws and taxis. Lots of travelers have being there and they always leave happy!

This was a wonderful place to stay that made my time in Varanasi all the more special. Babu and Tripti who run the place made me feel very welcome. The food was lovely and Tripti makes lovely jewellry and dresses which are hard to resist.

Rooms are good, prices very reasonable and they make sure that you know your way around Varanasi, letting you know all the sights to see. Maruti is only 2 mins walk to Assi Ghat and an easy stroll along the Ganges to other ghats like the Burning Ghat.

The rooftop garden was an oasis after a day of sight seeing!

I highly recommend Maruti Guest House to everyone travelling to Varanasi :-)

I am so happy to have my first stay in India with Dr. V and his wonderful family. I stayed nearly three weeks. I felt almost a part of the family. Wonderful converstaions with Papu - on just about any subject but starting with the all important map of the nearby city -what to see and what to do. Tripti was so gracious and accomadating. Never a need left unmet. She and mother cooked wonderful meals. Chipatis, dahl and rice never tasted better. Try the masala tea. I learned plants from mother. Dr. V was there for me as well. His advice on a mediacl qiestion was invaluable as was his counsel on travel at the time of my departure.

When you enter Assi road, you don't notice the Maruti Guest House as it looks as all the other houses in the street. hen you enter, you receive a very warm welcome of mrs Tripathi, het charming daughter Tripti and their son-in-law Bapu. You enter the hart of a real Indian family who wants to share with you their hospitality by considering you very quickly as a member of their home.
The bedrooms have basic comfort and are clean. The badroom has running cold and warm water. The divine Lassi, different soups and the Kashmirian potatoes make you familiar with the local dishes. I remember with great pleasure the wonderful Masala tea and all other delicious food. Everything is prepared with lots of taste and served with lots of love.
Bapu is organising with enthusiasm visits in the surroundings of Varanassi and hr made our stay very enjoyable and interesting. He ordered transfers to and from the railway station and the airport. He organised our visists to Varanassi and booked our guides as well.
The spiritual conscience is reflected in the way of living of the entire family.Maruti Guest House is an excellent starting point for a pleasant visit of the mysterious and magical Varanassi.
I will definitely come back here at my next visit of the region.
