The family were so welcoming and helpful! we could not have felt more at home. Cooking is amazing and you get the chance to buy homemade clothes and jewelery, lovely experience.

Book a train pick-up that is helpful because the location is quite far from the station. It is close to the river Gange so it is available to have a boat trip at dawn. The manager is nice and give good idea how to travel around when asking. If the room have a garbage bin and big towel on the bed in case of need that is perfect. Here I thanked for Dr. Tripathi 's ( the owner of guest house) prescription for my throat pain again.

80% Customer Rating Novice Nomad (4) Nice location 5 mins walk from Assi Ghat, which is a bit quieter than the busy main Ghat area. These guys can provide everything... transfers, cooking your meals, home made jewellery and clothing etc. Thanks!

I REALLY enjoyed my stay at the Maruti guesthouse, the family that owns it are really friendly and welcoming. I especially liked the fact that you eat breakfast and dinner in the family kitchen upstairs. And you can freely help yourself to drinks throughout the day providing you keep a note of what you owe them. They are extremely trustworthy and i will DEF visit again.

Very good guesthouse and the nice part is that it feels like you're part of the family. Papu (manager) makes a map of the city which is really handy. We have had our breakfast and dinner also with them because it tastes delicious (veg). The rooms are basic but clean (the matras is a little bit thin). Would I recommend it to friends? For sure.

The location is close to Assi ghat, which is a more chill part of town to be in. The room was standard for the price. What is the real attraction of this guest house is the friendly family atmosphere which made our stay there worthwhile.

Papu and Tripti are very nice and accommodating. Papu will make you a personal map of where to go too. I found this very helpful. The room was comfortable and the location great. It is a 5 minute walk to Assi ghat. I enjoyed my conversations with Papu and Tripti. Tripti makes beautiful jewelry too.

I have gone only alone to Varanasi, and I found in Maruti Guest House of the family Tripathi very pleasant overnight stay. Hotel is in good quiet position, near of the Asi Ghat. The family Tripathi is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and there is here also good food. If I come once again to Varanasi, I book a room in Maruti Guest House again.
